The short version: most of our tools run entirely in your browser and never send personal data to our servers. A small number of tools send a date only (never linked to your identity) to an external service for calculation purposes.
Data you enter into the tools
Most calculators on Our Daily Tools run entirely in your browser using JavaScript. The numbers, names and text you type never leave your device, are never transmitted to a server, and are never stored by us in any form.
Local storage in your browser
We use your browser's local storage to save some preferences and data on your own device only, including:
- Your dark/light mode preference.
- The timetable you build in the Schedule Builder tool, so you never lose your work when you close the browser.
- Some cached Hijri/Gregorian date-conversion results, kept briefly to speed up repeated lookups of the same date.
This data stays on your device only, is never sent to us, and can be cleared at any time from your browser settings.
Tools that talk to an external service
The Hijri/Gregorian date-conversion tools (and anything built on them, such as the Ramadan countdown and the dual-calendar age calculator) send a date only (no identifying information such as your name, email, or personal IP address) through our own server to an external calendar-conversion service, to get a more precise result. If that service can't be reached, the tool falls back to an internal calculation inside your browser with no external request at all.
